SaltWater
Sportsman Awards ZeeBaaS As
The Most Innovative Spinning Reel On The Market.

July 2007 - Stratford, CT: This is the
first year that Saltwater Sportsman Magazine introduced their
High Hook Awards. As a leading publisher in the industry,
extensive research and testing was conducted, and the ZeeBaaS
ZX2 Series Spinning Reel took first place above all other
saltwater spinning reels.
The award
was presented to ZeeBaaS at ICAST in Las Vegas. "We at
ZeeBaaS are very grateful to SaltWater Sportsman and are proud
to be honored with such as prestigious award", stated
Rob Koelewyn, President of ZeeBaaS. "Being recognized
as the best in the industry is something every designer and
engineer dreams of. Receiving it at such early stages of our
development excites us even more and ensures our customers
that they made the right choice."

ZeeBaaS
Expands
April 13, 2007 - Stratford, CT: Due
to the overwhelming response ZeeBaaS received in 2006 and
to gear-up for production, the company has moved to a new
facility on 335 Benton Street in Stratford, Connecticut. President
and Founder, Robert Koelewyn stated, " We started shipping
reels in September 2006 and received a warm welcoming from
the fishing industry. The ZX2-Series product line quickly
became noticed and instantly generated a high-level of interest
and demand. We expected a great reception, but let's just
say, this was a terrific way to kick off our business."
ZeeBaaS
grew their square footage by over 700% when moving into their
new manufacturing facility. "It's good to be back in
Stratford," said Koelewyn. "In 1991 I started Van
Staall
a few miles from our new location. Being so close to the Connecticut
shoreline allowed us to test our reels in all types of conditions.
The extremes of the New England weather is probably the toughest
conditions for any product to be withstand. Remember, we're
working with many different types of metals, gears, bearings,
O-rings and more. The harsh winter months bring the bitter
cold, spring is wet and damp, the summer months are hot and
humid, and the fall is just right [especially for strippers].
Putting our reels to the test under real-life situations is
by far the best way to determine if your product has any limitations
or not."

February 2007 - Milford, CT: Saltwater Sportsman
Magazine features ZeeBaaS in their February 2007 issue - article:
"Reels of Approval". The Magazine stated,
"Despite literally throwing it in the sand and dunking
it in the salt without a freshwater washdown, our test crew
has been unable to find a flaw or get the reel to malfunction."

High-Tech
Reels
December
2006 - Milford, CT: Like all other sporting industries,
the fishing industry is appreciating the quality and performance
of high-tech products. This is clearly proven by the launch
and quick surge of demand for the ZeeBaaS product line and
the longevity of Van Staal.
One who
experienced the thrill and competitiveness of fishing understands
the value in selecting the right gear. Gear that will be put
to the test each and every time...and won't fail. Fishermen
are looking for reliable equipment and are willing to spend
more - but in return, they are expecting [and deserve] to
gain more. Companies are striving to develop the perfect products
and position them within the marketplace at price level that
gain optimal sales, as well as margins. Unfortunately, businesses
have to control costs and often, this means cutting back somewhere.
Hard plastics are created to appear to be metal, but they
clearly lack in the quality and strength. Bodies of a reel
appear to be "cutting-edge" in design, but they
are nothing more than an enclosure to house the inner workings
of the reel. Many bodies allow saltwater and sand to enter
and get caught up in the inner workings of the reel - overtime,
leading to failure. Gear systems enclosed in these bodies
are poorly designed are not built to perform.
The goal
of ZeeBaaS is not only to develop products that out-perform...but
it is to educate the audience as well. As we develop our web
site, new content will be added and it will be more technical.
Owners will turn to the web to view step-by-step instructions
on disassembling and maintenance of their reels. They will
truly get to know their product and understand why they selected
ZeeBaaS.

ZeeBaaS
Introduces The First Self-Maintenance Saltwater Spinning Reel.
September
2006 - Milford, CT: ZeeBaaS hits the market and offers
the buyer much more then any other saltwater reel in it's
class. The ZX2 is the first line of the ZX-Series and has
been put to the test by fishermen, dealers and publishers.
ZeeBaaS engineered and designed this line of reels to be easy
for the owner.
With the
ability to customize the reel, the fishermen can select from
a single or dual line roller system, or a semi-automatic bail
system. They can also select from different spool sizes that
fit the same body, giving them the ability to change line
weights on demand. Handle options are also available, but
one of the most impressive features is self-maintenance. Now,
the owner can maintain the reels themselves, or bring it to
a ZeeBaaS Dealer who is certified to properly maintain the
equipment.
ZeeBaaS
designed the product line around this feature as a way to
eliminate the worry and downtime of shipping a product back
to the manufacturer.
