Robert Koelewyn; Designer, Engineer, Founder and President of ZeeBaaS is no stranger to the fishing industry. He is well known and respected for bringing Van Staal™ to market. Van Staal was the first advanced salt water spinning reel for the serious fisherman. His parnter, Kristopher Rydzewski was part of the original development team when Van Staal came to fruition.

Over the last 3 years, Rob spent much of his time designing new product for Van Staal and established a manufacturing process based on best practices. Today, Rob takes fishing to a new level by introducing the ZeeBaaS line of spinning reels. Inspired by the hard-core fishermen of Montauk, Rob designed this reel to exceed their expectations and offer user-friendliness as it relates to proper maintenance, customization and product upgrades. Designed with stronger material and better quality, this reel will outperform any other on the market. With all parts manufactured, assembled and tested in his shop, Rob has hands-on control over all the details.
